My name is Célina Collot. I studied Language and Audiovisual Production in Mexico, a have experience in marketing and content creation for social media. I was born in Switzerland but grew up in Mexico and the US and just moved back to Switzerland this year. In Mexico I acquired experience working in social media publishing agencies while studying and have been doing the same at my family business, Collot Baca Localization, where we offer translations and subtitles for the entertainment business. I often get to travel to markets, festivals, and other audiovisual events to record the experience of attending and edit the videos in an aesthetic and original way. I keep our social media, business presentation and web page updated. I also work as project manager with small to large projects. I receive materials from the client, follow a thorough process, from sending a job announcement to our translators, assigning the materials to one or more (depending on the size and deadline) and keep communication with both client and translators for any required assistance. I am good working with others, I can be a leader and follow orders when needed. As a project manager I must be resourceful, trustworthy, responsible and maintain control of stressful situations. I’m used to working on tight deadlines and deliver the desired final product.
At the beginning of the year I had the opportunity to work with the Official Broadcast Service (OBS) for the Olympic Games during the Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne as a production assistant. I’ve been published as a writer for fashion articles and art shows reviews where I also get to use my own photographs of the events.
I’m used to dealing directly with clients and work alongside other people in teams during productions and to create aesthetic campaigns.
I also keep an Instagram account for my visual art projects, this way I get to apply my professional skills in a creative and personal way and get to extend my skills with software like photoshop, premiere and aftereffects.
I’m very curious and love to keep learning whenever I can. Currently I am taking an online specialization for graphic design from California Institute of the Arts.
